Last Minute Halloween DIYs - Treat bags & decor ideas

Still, only some hours to go for Halloween !! What are you dressing up like or what are you dressing up your kids like ? Do you celebrate Halloween ?Are you attending any party? Or it is just an another day in fall ? Actually, we don't celebrate Halloween but trick or treaters come to our house so I am making some treat bags with candies in them.
Today I am sharing an idea to make your own last minute treat bags. It is not something new.It is the most common way of making a paper bag but I have added my own twist in that.Let's see how to make this. I made these bags last time to carry small gifts to my cousins and they loved it. So, even if you are not into Halloween may be for some other occasion.Oh ya ! even for Christmas !!

Materials required:
Kraft paper
Scissors
Glue or tape
Hole punch
Ribbon
Markers

Step 1: Cut the Kraft paper in rectangle shape according to your desired size. Fold the two sides over the middle so that they overlap.Apply glue or tape it.

Step 2: Fold around 1 inch on one side and make a triangle on each side of the fold by opening the front and back pieces separately.

Step 3: Now fold each side such that they overlap and glue or tape it. Boo! Your treat bag is ready. Decorate with markers and fill in with treats. Fold the top part and make a hole. Insert the ribbon through the hole and tie a bow to finish it.

A simple and quick decor idea:

Get some LED lights from the dollar store or Ikea . Draw a ghost shape with a marker in a white paper or any semi-transparent material(I am using a milk can ). Cut it and paste it in front of the LED lights with double sided tape .

Hope you loved learning how to make a paper gift bag.As said earlier, these bags can be used all year and it is best for wrapping odd shaped gifts.

How are you decorating your house for Halloween ? Is there anything special you are doing ? Do you like these ideas ? Feel free to share your comments below or write to vikalpah@gmail.com if you have doubts. As always I will be happy to hear from you.
